Español Total Programme

*** All students must arrive to Spark (Calle de los Espadas 6, El Puerto de Santa Maria) on Saturday before and in time for the 09.30 presentation ***

Saturday

09.30am to 10.00am: Breakfast and introduction to all students attending the weekend. Switching to Spanish, psychological “cambio de chip”, which means that after this point it is Spanish only. Also, each student will be assigned to a team, an extra incentive to help achieve speaking only in Spanish.

10.30am: Depart from Spark, designation bound to El Bosque, where we will be spending the weekend.

12.00pm: arrive to El Bosque. Check in to the rooms. Please, note that we will normally lodge by gender in triple rooms. If it works out, couples may be able to lodge together though this can’t be guaranteed.

01.00pm: Start walk along the river to Benamahoma. It isn’t a difficult walk but we strongly suggest you wear trainers or walking shoes to enjoy the hike. There is also a place where you can swim, so bring your swimming gear as it’s likely that the weather is nice. We will have a packed lunch (provided by Spark) along the way and will also play language games at different stops.

02.30pm: stop at El Bujia to eat our packed lunch (included) or for a well-deserved coffee, ice cream or drinks (not on Spark).

04.30pm: return walking along the river.

06.00pm to 08.00pm: arrival to El Bosque. Free time! Showers (of course, in Spanish) and chill out Spanish games in the Albergue El Bosque until dinner time.

08.00pm to 09.30pm: buffet dinner at Albergue El Bosque where we will play some language games to round off a great day. Dinner provided by Spark including a moderate amount of wine, beer and soft drinks. Additional drinks and any extra food beyond the standard meal are on each individual.

10.00pm to 01.00am: Flamenco at local Peña Flamenca + other night out activities.

Sunday

08.00am – 09.30am: breakfast set for the whole group in the Albergue (provided by Spark)

09.30am to 11.30am: Free time and check out.

11.30am to 02.30pm: conversation class with exciting role plays and presentations.

03.00 to 05.00: lunch in a restaurant around El Bosque’s main square provided by Spark
with some language topics to discuss. Closing ceremony with certificates and prizes. The official closing of “Español Total”.

06.00pm: head back to Spark, communicating in the languages of our choice!

07.30pm: return to Spark. Drops offs can be provided to Jerez de la Frontera airport and El Puerto
Train Station only on the way back and not at later times.

The Total Spanish Language Holiday is the ultimate test for your Spanish language skills as it combines a two week Spanish language course with our Total Spanish weekend where the Spanish only rule is strictly enforced. Added to this, the weekend takes place in the wonderful Sierra de Grazalema meaning you also get to see another side to Spain and be in the outdoors. Our cultural activities programme will also have a minimum two español en acción events where only Spanish  is permitted meaning your Spanish learning is going to be great during this time. Have a holiday in Spain, get a tan, see the outdoors and improve your Spanish…
