Learn Padel in Spain with Spark Spanish

Padel is the fastest growing sport in the world and the second most played sport in Spain. It is always played in doubles on an enclosed court about half the size of a tennis court. The court is surrounded by walls which the ball can be played off and so the best way to describe the game is a cross between tennis and squash. The game is hugely enjoyable and very addictive and anyone who takes part will be sure to want to play again.

Padel is great for players of all ages and skills. It is quick and easy to pick up as it is less physically demanding than tennis and squash. Most players get the grasp of it within the first 20 minutes of playing and find it easy to achieve a level of proficiency so that they can enjoy it because the game is not as dominated by strength or technique. The serve in padel is under-arm and the balls and the scoring system is the same as tennis which makes the game less complicated.

The best padel players are generally from Argentina with Spaniards being the second best. See the pros playing below.

In our cultural event programme we sometimes include some Padel classes which will be completely in Spanish. Also on school tours we also offer the option of padel.
