By the end of my work and study programme, I will have improved my spanish speaking and listening skills as I will have been immersed in it, thanks to my host family. This will increase my confidence as I will be able to understand spanish to a higher level than before and when I return home I will see improvements in my schoolwork.
Furthermore, this increased level of Spanish will help me in my future as I hope to continue studying Spanish. As I will not always be correct with my Spanish speaking, it will teach me that it is ok to make mistakes and that i can learn from them and use them to improve.
In addition, this experience will have taken me out of my comfort zone which will improve my confidence and prepare me for life after studies, when i will have to live alone. I will be able to adapt to new situations easily as this experience is completely different to anything i have done before.
Throughout, I will have gained experiences that will help me as i start to enter work. It will have shown me how to be hard working consistently and be enthusiastic about everything I do.
By the end, I will have embraced the culture of “el puerto de santa maria” and appreciate the city. I will have had opportunities to explore and experience my surroundings. Through my project, I will have also be able to contribute to Spark school, as i was able to paint a mural on the walls of their building. This will have encouraged me to think creatively and challenge myself to do something a I would not normally do.
Overall, I will have stepped outside of my comfort zone and proven to myself that I should not limit myself and my goals.
