I am committed to becoming the best version of myself, and I believe that working at Spark will help me achieve this goal. This placement is an important step in my personal and professional growth, and I will actively live by the power statements I have set for myself in order to guide my actions and how I think and act during this experience.

By July, when my internship finishes, I will learn how to remain calm in stressful situations. By stepping outside of my comfort zone and facing unfamiliar, fast-paced, or chaotic environments, I will develop the ability to clear my mind, manage pressure, and respond thoughtfully rather than emotionally. This skill is essential not only for my role at Spark, but also for my future career working with children.

In addition to developing emotional resilience, I am committed to improving my Spanish and deepening my cultural understanding. Learning languages and exploring new cultures has always fascinated me, and by the end of my placement my Spanish will have improved to a level where I can confidently hold advanced conversations. I will achieve this by speaking Spanish with my colleagues whenever possible and by interacting with the children in Spanish during daily activities.

Another key objective of this placement is to stop doubting myself and fully trust my abilities. Working at Spark places me in a completely new professional environment, and by believing in myself and my capabilities, I will be able to handle new tasks with confidence and responsibility and become someone who my colleagues can rely on. I will no longer hold myself back through self-doubt, but instead approach challenges as opportunities for growth.

Overall, by the end of my work placement, I want to feel genuinely proud of myself. I want to look back on this experience and clearly see my growth, increased confidence, and personal development. Most importantly, I want to know that I gave my best effort every day and made the most of this opportunity to learn, grow, and challenge myself.

My goal during this work and school experience is to get out of my comfort zone and establish new personal work habits that I can profit of in future jobs and work opportunities. Since I have never worked for more than a week, I want to use this to gain confidence in working. I will stay motivated and do the things whole-heartedly even if I have some difficulties. Because doing the things motivated makes them easier.

When I started my Spark experience, I didn’t really know what to expect. To be honest, I wasn’t super motivated at first – especially with tasks I didn’t enjoy. I realized quickly that you can’t just do what you like all the time. You also need to go through the stuff that’s uncomfortable or boring, because that’s part of the journey. You can’t start at the top – you have to work your way up. That’s how you learn to appreciate your own position and understand the full picture.

Hola, compañeros y compañeras! 👋

I’m one of the many work experience students here at our Spanish language school, and I wanted to share a quick reminder — something simple, but important: Let’s keep thinking about our environment, even while we’re focusing on verbs and vocabulary.
